Flu, COVID-19 and RSV

NSW Health’s respiratory illness guidance centres on vaccination, staying home when unwell, wearing a mask if you must go out, and avoiding crowded or poorly ventilated spaces. It also suggests considering a rapid antigen test before visiting people at higher risk, and making a plan with your doctor if you are at higher risk of severe illness.

Old numbers and current status

The former National Coronavirus Helpline (1800 020 080) is no longer in service, but it still appears on older printed material and some websites. Use the healthdirect helpline or your GP instead.

This directory deliberately does not reproduce case numbers, outbreak totals, testing or antiviral eligibility, or public health orders. If a new outbreak or pandemic response is announced, follow NSW Health and Australian Government directions.
